We have been able to reduce client system’s downtime by hundreds of hours and we’ve really only just started.” - Adam Melton, Software Development & IT Security Manager at Knight Security Systems

Knight Security Systems announces today the publication of a new patent titled, “Security-Focused Monitoring System”, based on brand new breakthrough methods used by the company’s Health Monitoring Platform, Knight Sentry.

The patent, published by the United States Patent Office under patent number 9,380,029, lays the groundwork for new health monitoring methodology developed in-house by Knight Security Systems. These patented methods monitor the health of network-based systems, as well as validating new security techniques pertaining to isolated networks. The patent also covers a method focused on auto-remediation of system alerts, allowing the Knight Sentry platform to attempt to address possible system errors without the need for human intervention.

The United States Patent Office has validated 16 claims on the submitted patent related to functionalities embedded within the Knight Sentry Platform. While Knight Security Systems owns the patent, Adam Melton, Software Development & IT Security Manager at Knight Security Systems, is the named applicant.

“This confirmation of the innovation of our Health Monitoring Program is a major win,” says Melton. “The methods in this patent are already incorporated in our system health monitoring platform, Knight Sentry. We have been able to reduce client systems' downtime by hundreds of hours and we’ve really only just started.”

“At Knight Security Systems, our focus on service and the ability to monitor the health of our clients’ systems provides us with self-generated dispatch and remote service to clients,” says Phil Lake, President at Knight Security Systems. “This investment in technology and systems development demonstrates our commitment to providing the highest level of service available in the security industry today.”

The new patent applies specifically to Knight Sentry and the System Health Monitoring services offered by Knight. This platform with its new offerings come with the company’s popular Service-Level Agreement, SecurePlanHealth™.
