“Advanced Care in Late Stage Dementia” Program with Teepa Snow Released by Pines of Sarasota Education & Training Institute
Sarasota, FL (PRWEB) June 09, 2016 -- Pines of Sarasota Education & Training Institute announces the release of its new dementia care program, “Advanced Care in Late Stage Dementia”, available on online video streaming or DVD.
Presented by nationally renowned dementia expert Teepa Snow, MS, OTR/L, FAOTA, , this program offers step-by-step, hands-on instructions and techniques to offer the most effective and gentle care for people living in the late stages of dementia.
“People living in the late stage of dementia experience limited vision, auditory skills, and a decreased ability to figure out touch and what’s going to happen next. Movement gets scary at this point in the disease,” Teepa Snow explains. “Being able to connect with the person and taking the opportunity to do things ‘with’ them instead of doing things ‘to’ them is essential to offering the most compassionate and comforting care in this stage.”
“Whether you are a professional caregiver or a family member caring for a person with late stage dementia in your home, this program will give you steps-by-step instructions to highly effective care methods that have already helped thousands of caregivers worldwide offer unsurpassed comfort to those in their care,” JoAnn Westbrook, Director of Education, explains. “Practical education has the ability to change lives, and, without a doubt, this program will have a huge positive impact on those faced with this heart-wrenching disease and the people in their care.”
This program is now available on Online Video and DVD at http://www.PinesEducation.org.
