Standard Process Supports Future Healthcare Professional from the University of Bridgeport
PALMYRA, Wis. (PRWEB) June 10, 2016 -- University of Bridgeport (Bridgeport) student Kellie Moskey received a $2,500 scholarship from Standard Process Inc. to further her education and promote holistic nutrition. Standard Process empowers future chiropractors to transform lives through whole food nutrition.
“I’d like to thank Standard Process for helping to support my learning in becoming a chiropractic practitioner”, said Moskey. “I will have the unique opportunity to educate patients on how to care for their bodies through physical modalities and nutrition.”
Moskey is an honors student in her fourth semester of an eight semester program. Not only did she have the top essay submission to qualify for the scholarship, she is also president of the Student Government Association at Bridgeport. Moskey is devoted to promoting a healthy lifestyle and said, “Teaching people to use food to fuel their body can set them on a path for a high quality of life and promote wellness in society.”
“Without proper nutritional support, any form of health care would not be effective,” said Dean of the College of Chiropractic at Bridgeport Michael A. Ciolfi, who shares the same passion for wellness as Moskey and appreciates what Standard Process provides to his students.
Standard Process proudly supports future health care professionals with the hope that the scholarship winners will advocate the whole food nutrition philosophy. In addition to scholarships, the company offers learning opportunities by giving informational tours, sponsors student activities, and invests in universities through grants and endowed chairs.
In addition to answering essay question about how to guide patients around the pitfalls of the top five nutrition myths, Moskey met the following criteria to qualify for a Standard Process scholarship:
• Have a cumulative GPA of 2.9 or higher
• Provide a list of their contributions to the profession, the college, and the community
• Provide a letter of recommendation from a professor at the school
• Provide a written response to the given essay question
