Denver, Colo. (PRWEB) June 09, 2016
For 17 years, Granicus, Inc., has helped government staff increase efficiency, streamline processes, and save resources through the implementation of digital technology.
Today, Granicus announces the release of the latest advancement to iLegislate – the first paperless agenda delivery tablet application in the industry. The update extends the software to the OSX and Windows platforms, in addition to the iOS and Android versions already available.
“This release rounds out the iLegislate software and fills a need amongst our customer base in being able to use iLegislate on devices with the OSX and Windows operating systems,” said Jason Fletcher, Granicus CEO. “But more than that, it fulfills a commitment of ours to create exceptional technology for the public sector that helps make organizations more efficient and more streamlined with how they run their public meetings.”
iLegislate allows elected officials and government staff to review meeting agendas, supporting documents and archived video on any tablet or desktop. It can be used in conjunction with Granicus’ Citizen Engagement eComment tool to review citizen feedback on important issues, and with the Granicus VoteCast system to record in-meeting motions and votes.
“iLegislate across platforms is a welcomed development, which allows our Board members and top executives to happily use the utility with their preferred operating system and hardware,” said Edgar Rakestraw, Executive Assistant for the Oakland (Calif.) Unified School District Governing Board.
Since Granicus first introduced iLegislate, the software has helped more than 8,000 individual government and public sector customers across more than 600 agencies to increase their transparency and efficiency while saving time and paper.
Advantages of integrating iLegislate into an organization’s public meeting process include:
- Convenient access to meeting agendas and supporting documents
- Reduced paper consumption or a paperless environment
- Offline and on-the-go agendas and attachment review
- Indexed, archived meeting video review
- Public opinion at elected officials’ fingertips
