Texas DPS Approves Driver Ed in a Box to Give the Drive Test in Frisco, Texas
Frisco, Texas (PRWEB) June 10, 2016 -- Teenagers and young adults (ages 16 to 24) who have completed their driver education – both classroom and in-vehicle, now can take the road test without going to the driver license office.
No long lines. No waiting time. Paperwork and testing completed in thirty minutes or less – like Domino’s Pizza, only better!
Driver Ed in a Box (http://www.DPSroadTest.com) through its Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) licensed training school, Collision-Free Driver Ed, has just been recently certified and approved by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) to administer the official state-approved road test in the Frisco area.
Applicants who pass the road test administered by Patrick Barrett, author and creator of Driver Ed in a Box (http://DriverEdinaBox.com) and his associates, will not be required to take a driving skills (road) test at the DPS office to obtain their driver license.
Over ninety-three percent (93%) of the driver education instructors failed the DPS examiner tests. Consequently, only a small number of driving schools have met the DPS criteria to become authorized organizations eligible to provide road tests. Driver Ed in a Box through Collision-Free Driver Ed is one of the few driver education providers qualified and trusted by Texas DPS for the road testing part of driver license application process.
Senate Bill 1705 from the 2013 legislative session authorized the DPS to allow driver education schools to administer the driving skills (road) test because of numerous complaints of long wait times and long lines at the driver license office.
Driver Ed in a Box, now approved to administer road test in two new locations at the Frisco area – in Custer Road (near McKinney Road Crossing, behind McDonald’s) and Punjab Way (near Crème de la Crème) is accepting road test applicants since June 5, 2016. Additional locations in the Houston area and in Dallas, Austin, McAllen and San Antonio are planned for later this year.
