Council for Professional Recognition Announces Partnerships with Safegard, Professional Impact NJ, Coastal Bend College, and Grand Street Settlement Early Head Start
Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 14, 2016 -- The Council for Professional Recognition (The Council) announces four new business partnerships with SafeGard Classes Online, Professional Impact New Jersey (PINJ), Coastal Bend College (CBC), and Grand Street Settlement Early Head Start (EHS) to facilitate the Child Development Associate® (CDA®) Credential. Each partnership will ensure that the CDA® is the best first step for early educators and education students.
“The Council for Professional Recognition recognizes the value of having highly trained early childhood professionals all around the country who can possess the competence to serve young children and families,” says Valora Washington, Ph.D, Council Chief Executive Officer. “We are glad to partner with SafeGard, Professional Impact New Jersey, Coastal Bend College, and Grand Street Settlement Early Head Start to enhance the confidence of students in working with young children while obtaining their CDAs®.”
The Council’s partnership with SafeGard will offer a curriculum of online classes that will count as credits towards the CDA® Credential, which also supports SafeGard’s continuous professional development program in early childhood education. The partnership will allow initial and renewal CDA® candidates to choose from over 200 classes in a wide range of relevant, popular topics in child care, including the 8 CDA® Subject Areas. Many of SafeGard’s classes will also be offered in Spanish, which will serve the bilingual early educator audience of the Council for Professional Recognition.
Through the integrated partnership with Coastal Bend College (CBC) Texas, college and high school students seeking to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA®) Credential will be able to take training courses in early childhood and education being offered at CBC. The newly formed partnership will allow Coastal Bend students living in a 12-county South Texas region the opportunity to complete the training component towards earning a CDA® Credential.
Professional Impact NJ is now offering the CDA® Assessment Fee Financial Assistance Program, funded by the NJ Department of Human Services™ Division of Family Development. This program allows registered family child care providers, head teachers, group teachers, assistant teachers, and afterschool providers in the field of early care and education who are working toward their CDA® Credential to apply for financial assistance.
The Council’s mission is to facilitate the Child Development Associate® Credential process for the early childhood education professionals with Grand Street Settlement Early Head Start in New York in efforts to support their early childhood education program through increasing the number of CDA® credentialed staff. Grand Street Settlement Early Head Start plans to collaborate with the Council to expand professional development of the early care and education workforce.
