New Network Overlay Feature Empowers Service Providers Around the World to Shake-up Enterprise WAN Market
Toronto, ON (PRWEB) June 20, 2016 -- Multapplied Networks Inc., a software company focused on making computer networking simple and reliable for organizations, announced today that it has successfully released Private-Wide-Area-Network (PWAN) as a GUI-managed feature of the Company’s flagship technology, Bonded Internet™.
The new PWAN feature offers two major advantages:
(1) Private WAN over commodity broadband without the perceived risks of public Internet,
(2) Centralized platform for easy network monitoring and troubleshooting
First, Bonded Internet™ PWAN feature allows customers to transform their distributed networks into a highly cost-effective, scalable, and secure private WAN solution. Multapplied’s network overlay technology with the integration of PWAN feature offers multi-site customers the choice to eliminate expensive layer-2 access connections such as leased lines across any-and-all sites. Bonded Internet™ PWAN creates a feature-rich overlay network using private IP addresses leveraging commodity broadband. The feature gives multi-site customers a simple all-in-one solution that can be tailored to meet specific performance requirements at each site, but operates holistically, regardless of connection types or carriers.
Second, the Bonded Internet™ PWAN feature allows service providers to reduce the overhead required to manage the WAN. Multapplied Networks’ integrated GUI gathers all the important network-related data into a central platform. This single-pane-of-glass offers service providers visibility into the network to significantly reduce IT support costs. Now, changes to the WAN, such as policy changes or firewall rules can be remotely implemented for single or multiple sites without the need for on-site visits. Plus, the built-in multi-tenancy functionality allows for client access with specific privileges to expedite troubleshooting and address network issues.
Cameron Couch, VP of Channel Business at Multapplied Networks commented, “This significant advancement addresses the growing demand for scalable, secure, and easy-to-use networking solutions for multi-site, distributed businesses. Our worldwide network of channel partners wanted us to build on our category-leading product to enable the provisioning of a feature-rich WAN solution that could compete against MPLS and other WAN solutions. We’re excited to say that integrating PWAN is possibly the biggest step forward the product has taken since its inception.
“With this release comes the ability to mix-and-match different access technologies without any risk in terms of performance or security. Consider, for example, an enterprise where ‘Site A’ uses cable and fibre and ‘Site H’ uses cable and DSL; Bonded Internet’s PWAN feature allows partners to satisfy enterprise requirements for all sites like QoS policies and encryption while leveraging broadband Internet. That we can now privatize the entire network and centrally manage access to and from the Internet, means the product moves further into the multi-site solution space.”
Bonded Internet™ is a white-label network overlay technology for Internet, Cloud, Voice, and Managed service providers. Enterprises interested in saving time, effort, and money on their IT infrastructure, can buy from Multapplied Networks’ global network of partners. The PWAN feature is included in the same low price of Bonded Internet™.
