Reach Out and Read Colorado Names Meredith Hintze Executive Director
Denver, CO (PRWEB) June 15, 2016 -- The Board of Directors of Reach Out and Read Colorado announced that Meredith Hintze has been named Executive Director of Reach Out and Read Colorado, effective June 8, 2016.
Announcing this decision, Dori Kaplan, Chair of the Board, stated, “Over the last 7 years, Ms. Hintze has demonstrated her deep understanding of Reach Out and Read Colorado’s mission. The Board looks forward to working with our new Executive Director as she continues to expand our programs throughout Colorado.”
Hintze, an up-and-coming Denver leader, brings with her a wealth of experience, programmatic innovation and a track record of results. Born and raised in Denver, Hintze is a graduate of the University of Southern California and the University of Colorado School of Public Affairs. Her employment history is rooted in healthy childhood development, specifically ensuring that Colorado’s youngest population has access to quality comprehensive health care and services. She began her career with Reach Out and Read Colorado as Program Coordinator in 2009, and she has grown with and shaped the organization during her tenure. Since her start, she has helped to increase Reach Out and Read Colorado’s presence from 128 clinics to 291 clinics, increase reach from 42 Counties to 56 Counties, as well as increase the number of children Reach Out and Read Colorado serves from 80,000 to 110,000.
“Reach Out and Read Colorado is a nimble organization with a passionate network of healthcare providers throughout Colorado. To have the opportunity to lead this organization into its next chapter of success is an honor,” stated Hintze. “I am proud to be part of an organization which uniquely provides services to families at the intersection of healthcare and early childhood education.”
Hintze’s early literacy expertise and program delivery excellence led to her appointment as Reach Out and Read National’s Training Project Director in 2015. Hintze is responsible for the revitalization and creation of the Reach Out and Read training module to be utilized by over 20,000 pediatric medical providers nationwide, impacting more than 4.5 million children. Additionally, Hintze was a member of the 2011 Impact Denver class and the Impact Denver Preschool Program Project Fundraising Blueprint Leadership Team.
“Hintze knows well what our organization needs to accomplish in the next few months and beyond,” stated Steve Vogler, Reach Out and Read Colorado Medical Director. “We are fortunate to have someone of her experience and caliber willing to help lead our organization forward.”
