Stauder Technologies Delivers First Production Hyde™ AVT to the U.S. Navy
ST. Peters, MO (PRWEB) June 12, 2016 -- Stauder Technologies delivered their first Hyde™ AVT shipment to the United States Navy today, on time and under budget. This delivery is part of the full rate production order to meet U. S. Navy contract requirements. Hyde™ AVT systems currently on order will continue to be delivered to the USMC and NATO countries through 2017. Several additional NATO countries have also expressed interest in acquiring Hyde™ AVT capabilities as a replacement option for obsolete ATHS and IDM systems.
The Hyde™ AVT is a member of the Stauder Technologies Hyde™ family of battlefield interoperability systems, designed to be a low cost “plug and play” avionics replacement. Hyde™ enables legacy military aircraft to communicate over digital networks. The Hyde™ AVT is packaged with the Joint Effects and Coordination Link (JECL®) digital interoperability engine, which guarantees compatibility with other Digitally Aided Close Air Support (DACAS) systems. The Hyde™ AVT was integrated with existing AV-8B hardware and software with the cost-benefit of not requiring any changes to the aircraft’s Mission Computer software, electrical connections or mechanical interfaces.
Because of the success of the Hyde™ AVT, the F-16 community has approached Stauder to build a variant of the Hyde™ AVT that offers the F-16 the same “plug and play” DACAS compliant features now being installed in the AV-8Bs. The F-16 variant, call HydeDM™ replaces the IDM 302 without physical or software modifications to the aircraft. The F-16, like the AV-8B, can now extend its digital interoperability on the battlefield well into the future.
