Universal Fibers, a global industry leader in the development and production of high-performance, sustainable solution-dyed carpet fiber, was honored with the prestigious “Best of NeoCon” award for its new innovation, Thrive™.

Sponsored by Contract magazine, the 27th annual Best of NeoCon Awards recognized the best new commercial interior products introduced at this year’s exposition. Held annually at the Chicago Merchandise Mart, with more than 700 showrooms and exhibitors, NeoCon is the largest and most significant commercial interiors furnishings show in North America, and is attended by more than 40,000 leading architects, interior designers and facility managers globally.

Considered the most sustainable solution-dyed nylon 6.6 carpet fiber in the world, Thrive optimizes product life with 75 percent recycled content and the lightest carbon footprint in the industry. “As pioneers in eco-fiber innovation, Universal Fibers’ commitment to sustainability is unwavering and steadfast,” says Brendan McSheehy, Vice President of Innovation and Sustainability for Universal Fibers. “Our journey continues with Thrive.”

Thrive is offered with built-in encapsulated stain resistance and Universal Fibers’ exclusive 600 denier "building block," answering industry demand for high bulk capability while supporting market objectives for styling, light weight and ease of care and maintenance. Exacting color is assured with Universal Color®, the most expansive color palette in the industry providing 284 trend setting hues scientifically developed as a base from which any color may be created in color space.

“We are extremely proud to be introducing this innovative new product to the market, and wish to thank Contract and its esteemed panel of judges for recognizing Thrive with this prestigious honor,” says Bill Goodman, Universal Fibers’ Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We are gratified in knowing the industry places great value on the attributes of Thrive for superior performance, innovative styling and leading sustainable technology.”
