The show follows the larger-than-life exploits of Tommy Christmas, Chuck Kountz, Steve McGranathan, and Andy Pivarnik as they transform old vehicles into rolling masterpieces. In Episode Five, Tommy and his large assistants restored a rare 1980 Chevy Monza Spyder and prepped a 1970 Ford Bronco for trail and mud duty.

Vinnie is a Monza fanatic that wanted to get his 1980 Monza Spyder restored for his wife. She loves racing and has helped him on his cars in the past, so now it’s time for her to get a gift.
The car’s 231 cubic inch Buick V6 was booted for a 575 horsepower BluePrint Engines 454 big block Chevy crate motor tickled with a dose of nitrous courtesy of an NOS Cheater system. Safety was addressed with a Competition Engineering eight-point roll cage and G-Force harnesses. The Monza rides on Mickey Thompson and Cooper rubber mounted on Ultra Wheel Drag-Thrust wheels.

Fat N’ Furious crew member Steve McGranathan has a buddy named Bill. Bill had a 1971 Bronco that needed—well, everything—before Bill attempted to tackle the trails at Yankee Lake, a Northeast Ohio off-road park.
And everything is exactly what Christmas Automotive threw at the old SUV: ATK 302 CID/300 horsepower Stage 3 crate engine; Skyjacker lift kit; General Grabber tires on Pro Comp Xtreme Rocker Crawler Wheels; Bestop Trailmax II seats; and a Summit Racing 8,000 lb. winch for the inevitable winch-outs.
New episodes of Fat N’ Furious: Rolling Thunder air weekly, Monday nights on the Discovery Channel. New Parts Combos will be introduced after each new episode debuts. Visit Discoverychannel.com for show info and schedule.
