The new tool will reduce retailers’ time to market by decreasing the amount of data validation errors and automating the asset delivery process.
Switch Data Validation
Shotfarm’s latest product enhancement allows retailers to validate mapping fields in advance through the advanced Switch options panel, which allows for a specific action to be performed when invalid data is found. Traditionally, invalid data is found at the end of the process, but this feature allows for data validation errors to be fixed in real time, saving time and money in the long run.
“One of the biggest headaches for retailers is errors in their product data, and this new update lets retailers be proactive instead of reactive in addressing this issue,” said Mike Lapchick, CEO of Shotfarm. “This enhancement provides a faster and more streamlined platform for retailers and manufacturers to exchange and upload data, and re-affirms our focus on our customers and partners.”
If invalid product data is found in a retailer’s Switch, the Switch Data Validation tool allows for several different options, which allow retailers to format their Switch to their exact specifications, and update information as needed to better meet their product data needs. The update also includes a notifications feature for both manufacturers and retailers.
Switch Delivery Scheduling
Additionally, retailers can now schedule Switch deliveries simply by selecting the days and time they want the delivery to take place. When a retailer wants to have their Switch feed automated, they can select one, or multiple days, along with the time and time zone they’d like it delivered. Manufacturers can also automatically deliver assets or groups of assets to retailers through Shotfarm’s unique Lightbox feature.
