American Beacon Advisors, Inc. (“American Beacon”), an experienced provider of investment advisory services to institutional and retail markets, announced today that Sam Silver has been promoted to Vice President and Chief Fixed Income Officer. Mr. Silver will be responsible for overseeing fixed income portfolios, including mutual funds and separate accounts, and has been with the company since 1999. He replaces Mike Fields, who retired on May 31.

Mr. Silver has been in the investment business since 1987. Prior to joining American Beacon, he held various fixed-income positions with Koch Industries, Inc. for two years and Fidelity Investments for 10 years. Mr. Silver received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Kansas and an MBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas.
