CME Outfitters (CMEO), a leading accredited provider in continuing medical education, received an educational grant from Farmindustria S.A. to support a two-day, live international conference on the latest advances in the diagnosis, neurobiology, and treatment of mood disorders. This live conference on June 13-14, is led by Chairmen Charles B. Nemeroff, MD, PhD, and Renato D. Alarcon, MD, with an esteemed line up of expert presenting faculty. Drs. Edmi Y. Cortes Torres, Mark A. Frye, D. Jeffrey Newport, Samir A. Sabbag, Alan F. Schatzberg, Manpreet K. Singh, and Ihsan M. Salloum presented research and evidence to an international audience of psychiatrists, with 14 Latin American countries represented.
The two-day agenda includes topics such as bipolar disorder, psychiatric high-risk pregnancies, treatment-resistant depression, borderline personality disorder, depression in the elderly, alcohol and substance abuse and their comorbidities with mood disorders, and more. Participants will leave the conference with the ability to identify clinical signs and symptoms to improve recognition and accurate diagnosis of the most common mood disorders, translate the latest evidence into steps they can initiate to improve care of patients with mood disorders, and integrate measurement-based care into multimodal management of their patients with mood disorders. Expanding the latest evidence in mood disorders to an international audience of psychiatrists including access to leading experts in the field is important to improve the care of patients.
