Fragmob Recognized in Four Workplace and Innovation Awards
SAN DIEGO, CA (PRWEB) June 14, 2016 -- Fragmob, a San Diego mobile development startup, was named as one of the Best Places to Work in San Diego by the San Diego Business Journal (SDBJ). The award was bestowed on the heels of being recognized as an Inc.com Best Workplace, a San Diego Venture Group (SDVG) Cool Company, and a finalist for the Red Herring Top 100 North America award.
These competitive workplace and innovations awards recognized only a small number of winners. Fragmob was selected as one of:
- 42 San Diego small-sized companies by the SDBJ;
- 50 private U.S. companies by Inc. Magazine;
- 30 San Diego-based companies by the SDVG; and
- 346 finalists in North America for the Top 100 Shortlist by Red Herring.
Regarding the company’s awards, Jade Charles, Co-founder & CEO at Fragmob said: "You're basically competing for each employee's mindshare, even when they aren't physically in the office. The company and culture must balance productivity and fun. You can do that by making the 'why' very clear and instilling a sense of freedom and purpose into everyone's work... then trust them, completely."
Companies from across San Diego county entered the two-part survey process to determine the SDBJ Best Places to Work in San Diego. Fragmob was evaluated on workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, demographics, and employee experience.
On a national scale, the Red Herring's Top 100 North America award is a prestigious list honoring the year’s most promising private technology ventures from the North American business region. Finalist short-list status was based on technological innovation, management strength, market size, investor record, customer acquisition, and financial health. Fragmob was evaluated individually from hundreds of candidates, including a CEO-interview and due diligence from the Red Herring panel.
"The finalists’ list confirms the excellent choices made by entrepreneurs and VCs and the start-ups' solid roots in corporate America, embracing their innovations. By all metrics, it emphasizes the United States’ entrepreneurial excellence," said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring.
