IPConfigure is excited to announce the Orchid Community Forum, an online resource for hobbyists, small businesses, and dealers/resellers who are leveraging the free Orchid Community Edition on a Raspberry Pi 3.
With no limitations on camera count or storage, the Orchid Community Edition, a versatile IP video management software (VMS) platform, is now available as a free download for the Raspberry Pi 3 computer. Featuring a modern and dynamic web interface, Orchid has broad ONVIF camera support, advanced retention and recording settings, SRTP and HTTPS encryption, and sophisticated remote access capabilities such as a low-bandwidth mode. And, what’s really unique about Orchid is that it supports low-power devices, such as the Raspberry Pi 3, a low-cost (35 USD), credit-card sized computer popular among contemporary technologists.
Orchid Community Edition provides a complete surveillance solution for up to a recommended (6) 1080p IP cameras. For commercial installations, the Orchid VMS Family is available as a licensed VMS running on traditional Windows and Linux servers, and is distributed through global distributors Anixter, CSC, Graybar, Ingram Micro, and ScanSource.
