Kaonsoft Redefines Event Management with Delivery of AFCEA DC Events Mobile Application for Internet of Things Summit
Palo Alto, CA (PRWEB) June 16, 2016 -- The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Washington, DC Chapter was proud to offer a customized mobile application to their attendees for the May 17th, 2016 Internet of Things in Support of the Mission conference. This successful event was held in Washington DC at the prestigious National Press Club and was well attended by both government personnel and private industry. It featured in-depth discussions of how IoT has affected the tactical environment and sustainment of missions, highlighted challenges faced in various combat situations, and examined IoT industry solutions available to achieve mission objectives.
Kaonsoft, Inc., the leading enterprise mobility company, developed and deployed an attractive, easy-to-use mobile application that provided attendees with the overall conference agenda, biographies of speakers with associated links, and real-time survey functionality so that questions could be asked of the panelists. Representatives from the US Army, US Air Force, US Navy, US Marine Corps, Customs and Border Patrol, National Institutes of Standards and Technology (NIST) as well as a bevy of corporate IT companies ranging from Cisco to Brocade to Booz Allen Hamilton and many more spoke or otherwise participated in the event and used the Kaonsoft application under the name AFCEA DC Events.
“Kaonsoft was able to respond quickly to both the initial design and development of the application, incorporating last-minute changes to the agenda through Kaonsoft Enterprise Mobility Platform (KEMP)’s modular and flexible architecture. KEMP allows content creators to rapidly build complex mobile applications and add different functionality in seemingly a plug-n-play fashion,” said Randy Siegel, Chairman of the Mobile Steering Group and an AFCEA DC Board of Directors Member. “Kaonsoft also worked with Verizon Communications and was very responsive to Verizon branding design requirements.”
The AFCEA DC Events app will continue to provide support for future AFCEA Washington, DC conferences, symposia, and exhibitions. It is available on the iOS App Store and on Google Play.
The app was developed using Kaonsoft’s pre-built mobile solution, Event Management™, which provides event organizers a fully integrated, pre-built mobile solution that delivers a customized, branded, and productive application to captivate and engage today’s mobile savvy attendees. Kaonsoft Event Management™ redefines conferences, meetings, conventions, trade shows, and other social activities.
Kaonsoft Event Management™ is built on the Kaonsoft Enterprise Mobility Platform™ (KEMP), which allows enterprise to rapidly mobilize their organizations and services by seamlessly delivering business critical data from back-end systems to any mobile device, empowering employees, communities, or citizens in record time with low risk. It can be accessed from any mobile device, including Android, iOS, and Windows Phone, as well as desktop, and is deployable in both on-premise and cloud environments. Features include user authentication, instant content updates, push notifications, real-time attendance status, social activity feed, gamification, embedded surveys, support for e-ticketing and QR or barcode validation, and beacon support.
It is offered in a yearly per-instance subscription license model. There is no extra cost in maintenance or upgrades, and no extra cost for additional users or app downloads.
