On Tuesday, June 14, Westminster-Thurber Community, a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community, dedicated Goodale Landing, an independent living residence with 68 spacious apartment homes. The eight-story, $31 million building was dedicated at an invitation-only ceremony and ribbon cutting.

Goodale Landing offers seven distinct one- and two-bedroom open-concept floor plans, ranging from 1,140 to 1,890 square feet. The beautifully-appointed apartment homes have four-season sunrooms, balconies, laundry rooms, full kitchens with pantries, heated bathroom floors and generous closet space.

Goodale Landing offers the latest amenities with underground heated parking, concierge services, a community center and a roof-top terrace. Residents can enjoy restaurant-style dining with both casual and fine dining options at The Crossings, and have access to grab-and-go meals. The new building is connected to the rest of the campus by an indoor walkway, providing easy access to all of the community’s activities and services. A new indoor pool with locker rooms and outdoor patio was also constructed. This new amenity enhances resident choices for health and recreation. Conveniently located near downtown Columbus, residents also have access to all of the entertainment, shopping, dining and nightlife options the city has to offer.

“We are excited to be able to offer older adults these modern, well-appointed apartment homes,” said Leslie Belfance, executive director of Westminster-Thurber. “Westminster-Thurber has been compassionately serving Columbus for 50 years. With all of the amenities and comforts that Goodale Landing has to offer, we will continue to be the premiere choice for senior living for at least another 50 years, providing opportunities for health and life fulfillment.”
