The podcast was created and is hosted by features editor Angela Arsenault and Jessica Ticktin, an independent multi-media producer and storyteller.

'Where Was I…?' is a podcast that explores the stories of primary caregivers, mostly women, who stop working outside of the home in order to take care of their child or children full-time, and then wish to return to work or seek to otherwise reestablish their identity once their children begin school. 'Where Was I…?' episodes center around interviews with a variety of notable and successful working parents, including authors Anne-Marie Slaughter and Amy Cuddy, and iRelaunch CEO Carol Fishman Cohen, among others.

“For some stay-at-home parents, once young children start school, those six-hours or so during the day may be the most regular “free time” they have had away from their children in a few years,” said Arsenault. “This often becomes a period of transition for these parents to not only regain some daily independence but to also explore what else is out there for them, either by reestablishing themselves professionally or in exploring other hobbies or passions. Our podcast seeks to provide support, community, anecdotes, and insights into this chapter of life so that no parent feels alone during this exciting yet stressful time.”
