The Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) is proud to announce that its third annual CCAR Cup Tournament was an outstanding success. The event took place on June 15th, 2016 at the Hawk’s Landing Country Club in Southington, Connecticut.

The day was blessed with beautiful weather, great food, outstanding prizes and the strong spirit of the 100 CCAR staff, volunteers, and golfers who attended. All of the funds raised will be put towards opening up a bigger, better Hartford Recovery Community Center where CCAR will have the enhanced capability to serve even more people in the region. A recovery community center is where people can come work on their recovery, benefit from the many free services CCAR offers and give back through various volunteer opportunities. .

A special thanks to the Hartford Dispensary and Turnbridge for being this year’s top sponsors. Congratulations to Liberation Programs who won the Provider Challenge and will have the CCAR Cup proudly displayed at their location for the next year. Since 1998 the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) has organized the recovery community (people in recovery, family members, friends and allies) to put a face on recovery and to provide recovery support services to help sustain recovery. By promoting recovery from alcohol and other addiction through advocacy, education and service, CCAR strives to end discrimination surrounding addiction and recovery, open new doors and remove barriers to recovery, maintain and sustain recovery regardless of the pathway, all the while ensuring that all people in recovery, and people seeking recovery, are treated with dignity and respect. CCAR envisions a world where the power, hope and healing of recovery from alcohol and other addiction is thoroughly understood and embraced. For more information, visit http://ccar.us.
