With The Tech-Savvy Clientele In Mind, The Premiere Silicon Beach Waterfront Hotel Is One of the First To Be Featured on the Newest Digital Platform

This week, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. announced its brand profile in the social magazine, Flipboard, a content-sharing platform (accessible on a smartphone, tablet and desktop in multiple languages) that has already garnered over 90 million users across 180 countries. The brand page is made up of 12 themed magazines that showcase top media clips highlighting some of its most impressive hotels across the globe.

The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey, located less than a mile from the growing Silicon Beach that houses companies such as YouTube, SnapChat and the future Google campus, has already made its debut on the brand’s profile thanks to its recent Robb Report coverage.

“Being featured on the brand’s Flipboard is something that allows our hotel to be even more connected to the ever-growing tech community that wants to know where their next meeting can be or where they may want to relax at a hotel that is aligned with their needs and interests,” says Michael Mettler, Director of Sales and Marketing at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey.

Flipboard users can follow their favorite brands, celebrities, news topics and even “cute animals” by creating a customized profile that can send push notifications to keep readers well-informed. Stories, images and videos can be gathered and placed into the user’s own “Picks” folder where it can then be shared through various communication platforms such as social media, text messaging or email.

Some of The Ritz-Carlton Flipboard magazines include: reviews of locations, cultural experiences, newsworthy articles, wedding stories, culinary features, mixology, and thought-leadership pieces from company executives. Stories told by key influencers through co-sponsored magazines will also be included.

This marks the brand’s 13th platform that has been added to its social media portfolio that includes: Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr, Foursquare, LinkedIn, YouTube, YouKu, WeChat and Sina Weibo.
