Homecare Homebase Provides Tool for Insightful Analysis of the FY2017 CMS Hospice Proposed Rule
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) July 06, 2016 -- Homecare Homebase last week at their 2016 Users Conference announced a new predictive modeling tool for Knowledge Link™, their robust business intelligence platform, that allows its Hospice customers to quickly analyze the effects of the FY2017 Hospice proposed rule. This tool provides immediate visibility into the impact these changes will have on their business well before they take effect. Homecare Homebase will release another update to this model shortly after CMS releases the Hospice final rule, expected later this summer.
“In order to support the significant new changes implemented this year for our Hospice customers, we rebuilt our Hospice revenue model from the ground up. In addition to the standard rate updates, we have incorporated the new billing tiers for Routine Home Care, the new Service Intensity Add-On (SIA) payment, and wage index changes into our predictive model. We also redesigned the user interface of the dashboard to provide an even more intuitive and informative analysis. Our goal with this dashboard is to, as quickly as possible, provide our Hospice customers with a meaningful analysis of these key changes.” said Andy Guarnera, Manager of Data & Analytics at Homecare Homebase.
Homecare Homebase’s Knowledge Link tool, powered by the Tableau analytics platform, allows users to analyze their current and past business, as well as model proposed CMS changes, using actual data from episodes completed in the Homecare Homebase system. This enables agencies to compare and evaluate projected revenues based on their recent Hospice activity, broken down by the new Routine Home Care level-of-care rates, allows for comparison against the new wage index and CBSA delineations. A supplemental analysis of visits eligible for the new Service Intensity (SIA) Add-On Payment is also available within the Knowledge Link tool.
"Homecare Homebase delivers tools that not only keep customers ahead of coming regulatory changes, but also provides them useful, real-time insight into their business," said Scott Paddock, President at Homecare Homebase. "Due to our proactive nature and rapid-deployment of analytical tools our customers are quickly able to understand the effects of the final changes using relevant data from their own business. They are empowered to make better business decisions about the future of their agency and their operations in record time.”
