regardless of if you’re a professional, an amateur, or an outdoors snorkeler, being able to swim and breathe uninterrupted, even during kickturns, is a feeling that any swimming enthusiast should experience for themselves.

The PowerBreather, an innovative swim training snorkel developed in Germany by Ameo, is now available in the United States. Unlike conventional snorkels, the Powerbreather’s dual ventilation system expels CO2 from the front of the mouthpiece, like scuba gear, while allowing the user to inhale pure, dry oxygen through its two air intake tubes. A ventilation system through a series of membranes ensures that no water gets in the tubes when the swimmer inhales. The intake tubes wrap around the swimmer’s head, offering maximum hydrodynamics and comfort with almost any pair of swim goggles.
“There is no system on the market that allows free breathing swimming below the surface like the PowerBreather – nothing even comes close,” remarks Brad Sorock, owner of PowerBreather USA, “regardless of if you’re a professional, an amateur, or an outdoors snorkeler, being able to swim and breathe uninterrupted, even during kickturns, is a feeling that any swimming enthusiast should experience for themselves.”
The PowerBreather comes in three editions, the Wave, the Sport, and the Lap, which are suitable for different swimming needs; the Lap and Wave editions come with attachments that allow swimmers additional functionality, such as swimming in choppy open water, or even partially seal their air intakes to mimic hypoxic training, which allows for increased respiratory muscle gains and training efficiency. All editions feature the original PowerBreather snorkle system with the same dual-breathing technology.
The PowerBreather is available for purchase in North America on June 13th at http://www.powerbreatherusa.com.
The PowerBreather system was developed by Mathias Weigner, an enthusiastic swimmer who believed that there must be some way for “man moving easily and freely in the water”. Several years later, in partnership with Ameo, they were able to develop the PowerBreather system. PowerBreather’s goal is to expand the possibilities underwater for triathletes, professional swimmers, amateurs, and wildlife explorers like never before. PowerBreather is designed and manufactured in Germany. For inquiries please contact info(at)PowerBreatherUSA(dot)com or call (248) 270-8898.
