NACD Colorado Chapter Awards Innaugural Ronald I. Zall Scholarship
Denver, CO (PRWEB) June 23, 2016 -- The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Colorado Chapter, the advocate for the profession of directorship, today announced Rose Robeson as the first recipient of NACD’s Ronald I. Zall Scholarship. Mr. Zall and Ms. Robeson were honored recently during the NACD Colorado Chapter’s June 2016 Member Appreciation Event.
The first member of NACD’s faculty and its director for two decades, Ronald Zall (Ronnie) predicted that all boards would one day embrace director education. Thanks to Ronnie’s pioneering work, that day is closer than ever. “As NACD Colorado Chapter develops and advances board leadership, it’s important to take time to honor those who exemplify it.” said NACD Colorado Chapter Chairman, Bill Heck. “We are delighted to award Rose Robeson the Ronald Zall Scholarship as we honor the spirit of Ronnie’s efforts and dedication.”
Rose Robeson currently serves as a director of SM Energy Company, Tesco Corporation, and American Midstream GP LLC (the general partner of American Midstream Partners LP). She serves on the audit committee for all three companies and on the compensation committee for two. Ms. Robeson served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of DCP Midstream GP LLC (the General Partner of DCP Midstream Partners LP) from 2012 until her retirement in 2014. Ms. Robeson also served as group vice president and chief financial officer of DCP Midstream LLC from 2002 to 2012. Prior to her appointment as CFO of DCP Midstream LLC, Ms. Robeson was the firm's vice president and treasurer. Prior to joining DCP Midstream LLC, Ms. Robeson was with Kinder Morgan Inc.(formerly KN Energy Inc.) from 1996 to 2000 and held the position of vice president and treasurer. Robeson also serves on a non-profit board, JDRF, an organization committed to finding a cure for Type 1 diabetes. With her participation in this premier educational offering, Ms. Robeson will embark on her NACD Governance Fellowship path, heightening the value of her contributions in the boardroom, and honoring Ronnie’s legacy.
