Haldor Advanced Technologies Deploys its ORLocate System in Two New South Wales and Queensland Hospitals Part of Australian Hospital Chains
Cherry Hill, NJ (PRWEB) June 23, 2016 -- Haldor Advanced Technologies (“Haldor”), a developer of RFID enabled medical technology products, announced the deployment of its ORLocate SPD™ system at two hospitals in Australia, at Queensland and in Sydney, NSW.
The ORLocate® system is used by the hospitals to manage their surgical instrument sets throughout the sterile reprocessing department. It provides traceability and reconciliation of surgical instrument sets throughout the entire workflow cycle, including as they pass through the hospital’s operating theatres and procedural rooms.
At these two sites, Haldor installed for the first time a new expansion of the ORLocate SPD™ called ORLocate CheckPoint™. This expansion provides the surgical team with improved capabilities to report sets and items that are used at each procedure and improves the communication between the perioperative department and the SPD.
By utilizing Haldor’s RFID technology, we’ve enabled two innovative Australian hospitals to track surgical items through the entire cycle and improve their sterilization workflows efficiency and staff productivity. Both sites are currently planning to expand the system to incorporate instrument level traceability to maximize on the full value proposition of the ORLocate® system deployed.
“Adopting RFID as a permanent marking method for instruments is another demonstration of the vision and leadership of hospitals within the Australian market. We are proud of the continuous selection and deployments of the ORLocate® system by such leading healthcare facilities in Australia, and are confident that the ORLocate® system will dramatically improve workflows efficiency, instrument utilization, and patient safety,” said Ilan Kadosh-Tamari, CEO of Haldor.
