Orlando-based Agency Offers Social Media Lifeline to Businesses Impacted by Pulse Massacre

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) June 21, 2016 -- On June 12, 2016 Orlando was rocked by tragedy as a lone gunman opened fire inside Pulse Nightclub killing 49 people and wounding 53 more. As a community, our collective hearts began to as we learned more and more about the tragic events that had unfolded. City, State, and Federal elected leaders and law enforcement descended on Pulse Nightclub to begin to put the pieces together to ascertain exactly what occurred as their investigation began.

When we saw our neighbors struggling because they didn’t have access to their businesses, we knew we had to do something.

Unfortunately, local businesses in the immediate vicinity of the crime scene were forced to temporarily close their doors as access was closed off by law enforcement. This meant that local small businesses were no longer hearing their cash registers ring, and with no money coming in; a tremendous financial strain was put on the owners and their employees.

“When we saw our neighbors struggling because they didn’t have access to their businesses, we knew we had to do something,” said Kevin Johnson, 11 Interactive Media CEO. “As businesses are beginning to be allowed to reopen, we need to make sure that they are able to get the word out that they are ready to welcome customers back into their stores. As a community, we need to make sure that we support these amazing businesses, and make sure they are not forgotten.”

11 Interactive Media is partnering with the businesses to offer them a dynamic suite of social media tools to aide in their including:

• Social Media Management – 11 Interactive Media will develop original and curated content to post on all managed social media profiles following industry best practices for frequency and timing, based on the individual profile’s user engagement data. 11 Interactive Media’s team will monitor all managed social media channels and engage with users in real time as they comment, post, share, and like content. All original content will include custom branded imagery featuring the hotel’s logo or icon, whichever is more iconic.
• Reputation Management – 11 Interactive Media’s team will monitor and engage with users who are posting online reviews. Our team will coordinate with the business champion to ensure that the customer’s needs are taken care of in a timely manner. We monitor and respond to reviews by location across all major review platforms, including Google, Facebook, Yelp, and Citysearch, and many others in real time.
• Social Media Branding Package – 11 Interactive Media will develop consistent, custom, branded imagery for all social media platforms used by the business including header and profile images to create a consistent business image.
• Directory Listing Services – 11 Interactive Media will help the impacted businesses ensure that their business listings are up-to-date with current and consistent information including address, telephone numbers, services offered, and hours of operation across 100+ of our global partners, including Google, Apple Maps, Bing, Facebook, Yahoo and Yelp.

11 Interactive Media has partnered with the Downtown South Main Street District leadership to help get the word to all the impacted businesses that help is available. "Businesses throughout the Downtown South district were significantly impacted by the closure of Orange Avenue," said Sarah Elbadri, Executive Director for the Downtown South Main Street District. "Now that Orange Ave is reopening, we need our entire #OrlandoUnited community to rally behind these businesses. We have suffered a tremendous tragedy, but we won't let that diminish our community. We are grateful that local businesses like 11 Interactive Media are here to help us remind Orlando of the vibrancy of this area."

One of the businesses that has already signed up to take advantage of the offer is GameFace Tattoo and Body Piercing. “Since starting our business in November of 2015, we have loved how accepting the community has been to us and we hope to do our part to help this community pick up the pieces and rebuild from this horrific tragedy,” said co-owner Jessica Bell. “We have an amazing team that includes tattoo artists Jest Esteves as well as the husband and wife team of Keisha and Tao Ozias and they have been especially impacted by the closure. We are excited and appreciative of the offer made by 11 Interactive Media to help us with our social media marketing, as we reopen.”
