For the third year in a row, The National Association of Business Resources announced Birkman International as one of the 2016 winners for the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For(R), both locally and nationally. The program identifies and honors organizations that display a commitment to employee enrichment and excellence in their human resource practices. Companies were examined by ITT's Center for Research and Service and reviewed by the Best & Brightest Board of Directors and the Event Board of Advisors. Winners were honored and announced last week at an awards celebration at the JW Marriot Houston.

The criteria for the Best and Brightest Companies to Work For(R) include: Communication and Shared Vision, Community Initiatives, Compensation, Benefits and Employee Solutions, Diversity and Inclusion, Employee Achievement and Recognition, Employee Education and Development, Employee Enrichment, Engagement and Retention, Recruitment, Selection and Orientation, Strategic Company Performance, and Work-Life Balance.

Sharon Birkman Fink, President and CEO of Birkman International, explains, "Being recognized is important to us because we truly believe in the values and criteria that drive the celebration of the Best and Brightest. This is not only true for the assessment and products that we offer; these values are alive within our organization and have enabled us to grow while staying true to our roots. Dr. Roger Birkman, my father and the founder of our company, had a passion for understanding people and helping them create better relationships with others, more satisfying careers, and ultimately live better lives. We carry forward his legacy."

Birkman International is a three-time local winner and three-time national winner of the Best and Brightest award. At its core, Birkman helps people and organizations improve performance through its versatile and in-depth behavioral assessment - The Birkman Method(R). Rather than assigning value judgments to people, Birkman encourages personal growth by acknowledging strengths and challenges alike. This is not only seen in the assessment, but also in the company's people-first focus and thought diversity.
