There is so much talent and expertise at each property.

Following last week’s announcement that The Anschutz family has acquired full ownership of the famed Sea Island Resort in Sea Island, Georgia, the formation of The Broadmoor- Sea Island Company, LLC was announced today. Gary Pierson, of Oklahoma City, will serve as Chairman and CEO, and Steve Bartolin, Chairman of The Broadmoor, will serve as President of the newly formed company.

“What makes The Broadmoor and Sea Island so special is that we are both fiercely independent and we want to maintain our singular identities for these one-of-a-kind properties,” said Steve Bartolin. “At the same time, the combination of two Five-Star, Five-Diamond resorts - both steeped in history, tradition, service and excellence - offers something truly unique in the luxury resort market and so many synergies.”

Under the direction of The Broadmoor-Sea Island Company, the goal will be to strengthen both properties through the sharing of best practices, training and development, as well as joint marketing initiatives and combined sales efforts.

“There is so much talent and expertise at each property.” Bartolin continued. “Each can gain from the other. It will make for a powerful team. Gary and I have the great fortune to be able to work with two accomplished leaders at these properties, Jack Damioli, President of The Broadmoor, and Scott Steilen, President of Sea Island. We look forward to supporting Jack and Scott and their teams to develop unmatched experiences for our guests, our members, our 4,500 employees and our respective communities.”
