New Regional Vice President brings extensive Houston business experience to local financial consulting firm

My new position provides a great opportunity for me to expand my role within vcfo and our relationships within the Houston business community.

vcfo, a consulting firm that provides access to expert-level finance, human resources, technology and recruiting support, is pleased to announce the promotion of Mike Mackey to Regional Vice President of Southeast Texas.

Mike joined vcfo in 2009 as the Market Manager where he was responsible for managing client projects and overseeing vcfo financial consultants in the Houston area. In his new role, he will oversee operations and business development in Houston as well as SE Texas. Mike is a proven executive who has repeatedly demonstrated an ability to effectively and materially impact an organization’s ability to grow successfully. Assisting clients at the strategic and operational level, he has diverse industry experience, including computer software, software as a service (SaaS), oil and gas, business process outsourcing (BPO), e-commerce (B2B and B2C), professional services, and real estate development and financing.

“My new position provides a great opportunity for me to expand my role within vcfo and our relationships within the Houston business community,” says Mike. “I’m excited to work more closely with Josh Tabin, Managing Director for vcfo’s Houston office, as well as our Southeast Texas team, in providing guidance and leveraging years of experience for our clients.”

Prior to joining vcfo, Mike held CFO and other C-level positions with Ascent Synergy Solutions, Empyrean Benefit Solutions, Synhrgy HR Technologies, Fastweb.com, DA Consulting Group, Global Software and MicroAge Computer. He also held financial positions with Kirchman Corporation, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Lockheed Martin.

Mike received his BS in Accounting from the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida, and his MS in Accounting and MBA from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, Florida.
