Digital Projection at home is discussed on "Behind The Scenes" for Public Television with James Earl Jones
(PRWEB) June 27, 2016 -- In an upcoming segment of "Behind the Scenes" host James Earl Jones will open a piece that will discuss the growing phenomenon of digital projection at home. Industry experts will weigh in as to why less people are going to the movies and are instead watching movies from home. They will also discuss how advanced technology plays an important part in this recent trend.
Less people seem to be making their way into movie theaters. According to The Hollywood Reporter, in 2014 the number of those who purchased movie tickets dropped to the lowest number since 1995. Four reasons cited for decreased movie ticket sales included rising ticket and concession costs, a lack of good movies, an increasing number of at-home streaming options, and high quality and addictive television shows. More recently, another reason movie lovers tend to watch movies at home is the advanced technology that allows movies at home to have the same quality as a theater. This technology, called digital projection, utilizes both LED and LASER illumination systems that match the highest of video standards allowing viewers to have an amazing movie watching experience on their giant screens at home.
Each episode of "Behind The Scenes" is filmed in high definition and meets the high quality assurance standards before getting aired. It is created for Public Television, but is not released or produced by APT or PBS. Award-winning actor James Earl Jones serves as the host of each segment.
