Televerde, the global sales and marketing solutions provider, has appointed Jim Thorburn as its Chief Sales Officer (CSO). Mr. Thorburn, a strong customer advocate who has led the company’s international expansion for the last two years, is the company’s first CSO and will be responsible for building a world-class sales organization within Televerde, while accelerating both its domestic and worldwide growth initiatives.

Mr. Thorburn, through his 30+ years of executive experience in private equity, public and private companies, has demonstrated profitable growth in a diverse number of industries including technology, automotive and alternative energy. His broad executive skills will be pivotal to Televerde’s global sales expansion.

Mr. Thorburn has been strategically involved in Televerde’s international growth, first in establishing a Latin America contact center in Cordoba, Argentina and again in setting up the company’s European headquarters in Glasgow, Scotland. Mr. Thorburn is also an active member of the board of IXYS corporation. He earned a Bachelor of Science with Honors from University of Glasgow and has continued his formal education through programs with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (London) and the Harvard University Executive Program.
