Tutera Senior Living & Health Care to Break Ground on $9.5 Million Carnegie Village Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Belton, Missouri
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (PRWEB) June 27, 2016 -- Tutera Senior Living & Health Care will break ground on the new $9.5 million Carnegie Village Rehabilitation and Health Care in Belton, Mo. (109 Bernard Drive), part of the Kansas City metropolitan area. A groundbreaking event with local dignitaries is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28.
Carnegie Village Rehabilitation & Health Care Center will be added to the Carnegie Village Senior Living Community that opened in 2002 and currently includes independent living, assisted living and memory care services. With the addition of the upscale rehabilitation center, Tutera will provide a complete continuum of health care services for seniors at Carnegie Village.
With completion expected in April 2017, the new Carnegie Village Rehabilitation & Health Care Center will offer post-surgical, skilled nursing rehabilitation and wellness services to promote effective, quick healing and recovery with a holistic approach. In addition to short-term rehabilitation, extended-stay services will be offered. The luxurious, spa-like environment will offer expert, individualized care specific to physicians' post-surgical orders and exemplify the highest standards in wellness design, including:
• 60 fully-furnished, spacious private suites with vaulted ceilings to offer guests the opportunity to dine, work or relax at their convenience for short-term or extended-stay rehabilitation
• State-of-the-art rehabilitation gym will feature AlterG treadmills and advanced equipment to improve mobility and strength in a fall-safe environment for short-term rehabilitation or extended stay
• Mind-body wellness center and spa will feature massage therapy, yoga and other wellness classes and personalized services
• Restaurant-style dining will offer healthy menus created by in-house chefs; a bistro-style venue, common spaces and an outdoor courtyard will enable guests to relax with friends and family
• Luxury amenities will also include a full-service salon and concierge services
To provide the most advanced rehabilitation support, Carnegie Village Rehabilitation and Health Care Center will include mock living spaces to assist rehabilitation patients with performing every day activities to better prepare them for returning home — including a full-scale kitchen, bathroom, living room and a first-in-market outdoor courtyard with diverse turf and a putting green — designed to better prepare residents for their return to active living.
“We are proud to break ground on this state-of-the-art, post-acute rehabilitation facility that has been carefully designed to provide seniors with the most advanced therapy and protocols available to meet their individualized needs to help them achieve recovery and return home quickly,” said Randy Bloom, Ph.D., president and chief operating officer of Tutera Senior Living & Health Care.
To develop Carnegie Village Rehabilitation and Health Care, Tutera has hired studioSIX5, an award-winning interior design firm that specializes in creating “enlightened lifestyles for seniors,” as well as the local firms of Nearing Staats Prelogar & Jones Architects (Prairie Village, Kan.) and CFS Engineering (Kansas City, Mo.).
“The expansion at Carnegie Village will meet the growing demand in the market for the highest standards in short-term rehabilitation and extended stay,” said Joe Tutera, CEO of Tutera Senior Living & Health Care. “Our focus is to provide a continuum of care for seniors in Belton and throughout the Kansas City metro area with quality residential options that offer seamless access to integrated health-care services as they are needed.”
Tutera Senior Living & Healthcare is bringing rental-based and continuum-of-care communities to the Kansas City metropolitan area, through construction of new facilities like Tiffany Springs Senior Living Community in North Kansas City, Mo., which broke ground on May 25, and Mission Chateau Senior Living in Prairie Village, Kan., which broke ground on June 22, as well as through expansion and upgrade plans for its existing Kansas City metro area communities, including Stratford Commons Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Overland Park, Kan. and The Atriums Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Overland Park, Kan.
