Furniture shopping and visualizing pieces in your home is difficult, which is why we saw the need to create a way for our customers to envision a piece in their home, make it their own, and trust in their investment

Jerome’s Furniture recently launched a furniture visualizer app powered by Cimagine called “Jerome’s Augmented Reality.” It enables customers to virtually place furniture in their home to help make buying decisions. The app automatically scans the users' room and overlays the products in realistic 3D, depicting the size and aesthetic of the furniture in that specific room. It provides customers with the ultimate online ordering experience, allowing users to see how furniture will look in their own homes. The free app for smart phones or tablets is available for download from Apple’s app store as well as the Google Play store and is compatible with most Apple and Android devices.

"Furniture shopping and visualizing pieces in your home is difficult, which is why we saw the need to create a way for our customers to envision a piece in their home, make it their own, and trust in their investment," says Scott Perry, Vice President of Digital for Jerome’s Furniture. Jerome’s is the first major traditional brick and mortar furniture retailer in the United States to deploy an augmented reality tool for their customers.

Jerome’s understands that furniture shopping is an investment, which is why rather than guessing what a piece of furniture will look like in a home, customers can now virtually place the furniture in their own home and get a great feel of how it will complement their existing décor and room colors.

With the app, users can scan their room with the click of a button and then see furniture to accurate scale in their room through the camera of their device. Users can then select from hundreds of Jerome’s products to place into their room, swiveling to position the item for placement. New products are continually being added. The user-friendly app is simple and eliminates the guess work of furniture shopping.

Jerome’s selected Cimagine because of its innovative and robust AR visualization technology, which is easy to use, realistic, and easy to integrate.

Yoni Nevo, Cimagine’s CEO stated, “Partnering with Jerome’s, a leader in the furniture space and early adopter of disruptive technologies, is another step for Cimagine towards becoming the visualization platform of choice for retailers and brands, and great news for our industry as a whole, as more and more leading retailers are embracing AR for the benefit of their customers. The current service will enhance online sales and we are looking forward to expanding it into Jerome's stores in the near future."
