Savor Seattle, an award-winning food tour company, announced today it has teamed up with four notable Seattle chefs to launch a progressive dining experience called the Seattle Dinner Soiree. Beginning on Saturday, July 2, “Chef in the Hat” Thierry Rautureau of Loulay, Chef Jimi Treen of The Market Hall, Chef Kevin Davis of Blueacre Seafood and Chef Melissa Martz of Tanaka San will open their doors to Savor Seattle’s new, 12-person roving dinner party. Working as a team from separate locations, the chefs will create a seafood-centric menu and overall dining experience that can only be found in Seattle.
“The Seattle Dinner Soiree truly is a first for the Emerald City – a roving group dining experience like this has never been done here in Seattle – and it’s also the only one of its kind in the United States,” said Angela Shen, founder, Savor Seattle. “It’s a wonderful way to explore some of our most famous, chef-driven restaurants and enjoy incredible seafood and custom libations.”
Each restaurant will contribute one dish to the experience - two appetizers, an entrée and a dessert, along with a drink pairing. During the first stop at Loulay, guests will enjoy Chef Thierry’s Dungeness Crab Salad with tarragon crème fraiche, pickled beets, carrots, grapefruit, and mizuna greens, paired with French Rose by Les Dauphins. The next appetizer at The Market Hall will be Chef Treen’s Garam Masala Coconut Mussels, featuring Taylor Shellfish Farm mussels, and paired with Sauvignon Blanc by Kim Crawford Wines in Marlborough, New Zealand.
As the entrée, Chef Kevin Davis prepares a Grilled Wild Alaskan Salmon with port-soaked cherries, smoked almonds, rosemary, and brown butter served over roasted potato medallions and paired with Pinot Noir from Foris Vineyards in Rogue Valley, Oregon. To top off the evening’s meal, Chef Melissa Martz at Tanaka San (owned by Tom Douglas and Eric Tanaka) offers a Chocolate Almond Cake served with a smoky tea fudge sauce, vanilla bean cream, kumquat syrup, kumquat slices, and delicious almond praline. Each location will also feature a drink special for guests that is exclusive to Savor’s Soiree for those who would like additional “adult hydration.”
“For the price of dining out at one restaurant, guests can try four of the best restaurants in town,” said Shen. “This will be a great offering for locals – especially urban couples who enjoy discovering new restaurants and meeting like-minded people with whom to bond over food.”
Savor Seattle’s Seattle Dinner Soiree will run Thursday through Sunday from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. beginning on Saturday, July 2 and is priced starting at $95.99 per person.
