Bay Area Newsgroup Ranks iD Tech a Top Workplace for Seventh Consecutive Year
(PRWEB) June 28, 2016 -- iD Tech has been ranked a Top Workplace by the Bay Area Newsgroup (publisher of the San Jose Mercury News) for the seventh year in a row. Year after year, the world’s leading provider of summer STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) camps for kids and teens has demonstrated that nurturing fun, innovation, and collaboration leads to a happier workforce.
To support more than 50,000 campers who will attend iD Tech summer programs in 2016, the company employs both year-round staff and more than 1,600 seasonal summer camp employees. With this year’s summer camp season now in full swing, iD Tech’s main office is abuzz with energy.
“We all share a common purpose—inspiring the generation of innovators,” says Pete Ingram-Cauchi, CEO of iD Tech. “It’s why we get up in the morning, it’s what drives to innovate and grow, it’s our passion.”
iD Tech’s recruiting team is always looking for new people to join their unique company culture. “There are so many things that make our employees proud to be part of iD Tech, from our purpose, to great perks, and benefits,” says Kate Stemplinger, Director of People Services at iD Tech. “But I think it all boils down to our commitment to hiring great people that are passionate about improving the lives of kids. When you have an amazing team that rallies around a common goal, and has fun while doing it, it's hard not to love coming to work each day!”
Employees appreciate that iD Tech is a purpose-driven company. The company remains committed to giving back to the environment and their community. Not only does iD Tech make a difference in children’s lives by empowering them in STEM learning, they also help local organizations through work-sponsored, weekday volunteer events. There are also initiatives like the One Camper, One Tree campaign, a partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation that plants a tree for every student enrolled at iD Tech.
Top Workplaces are determined solely on employee feedback. The employee survey is conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. Bay Area News Group published the complete list of Top Workplaces on June 28, 2015.
