With the addition of electronic data interchange (EDI) transaction 846 and cross dock support, zedSuite’s Cloud EDI solution provides a cloud-based service that integrates trading partners to the SPS Commerce Retail Network – the industry’s broadest network comprising over 65,000 members. The integration between SAP Business One and this retail network provides manufacturers, suppliers and retailers with the industry’s first integrated solution certified by both SPS Commerce and SAP.
The latest functionality allows trading partners to streamline inventory management across the retail supply chain. It provides real-time statuses on available and future inventory quantity levels at multiple locations whether backordered, in float, on hand, committed, on order, in transit or returned. It opens a communication stream to alert partners of any stock issues or last minute updates, such as product mark downs and discounts.
Cross docking for EDI 850 simplifies the complex logistics process of unloading materials from one source and reloading them to another with little or no storage in between. It allows users to change a transport type, sort and divide for different destinations, or combine from different origins all while monitoring location identification along the way.
