New Mexico Residents Reach $4 Million in Prescription Savings with Coast2CoastRx Program
(PRWEB) July 01, 2016 -- New Mexico Association of Counties Executive Director Steve Kopelman said, "The Coast2CoastRx prescription program has been in place in counties throughout New Mexico for several years and will continue to be offered to New Mexico residents.” Kopelman added, “ The counties have received great feedback from constituents that are utilizing the prescription discount card.” He reiterated that, "the program has been just as it was advertised."
New Mexico has reached $4,000,000.00 million in savings on their prescriptions. Santa Fe County was the first county to adopt the program. The Coast2Coast Rx program has been launched in several additional counties since and more counties continue to launch each month. The Coast2CoastRx program has been implemented in 8 New Mexico Counties so far.
The Coast2Coast Rx card allows all New Mexico residents, regardless of income, age, or health status to participate in the program and save on the cost of their medications. The program has saved cardholders throughout the nation an average of 60 percent in 2016 on the cost of prescription drugs. The Rx card is distributed free of charge and may be used at all pharmacy chains and most independent pharmacies in New Mexico and includes over 60,000 drugs in its formulary.
