Bits to Pieces 3D Printing Business Sponsors Animal Rescue Race
Pittsburgh,PA (PRWEB) July 19, 2016 -- Bits to Pieces 3D Printing is proud to sponsor The Race to Animal Rescue, a 5K/10K fundraiser that will benefit Angel Ridge Animal Rescue in Washington County. Angel Ridge is a non-profit sanctuary for dogs, cats and horses.
“3D printing technology gives me hope for animal care and rescue,” says Cara De Carlo, the race’s director. In hundreds of documented cases, 3D printers have been used to create life-saving animal prosthetics. 3D printing also has the potential to become a must-have for pet owners who wish to custom-design their pet’s favorite toys.
“I’m excited to have such a great tech sponsor for a race to help the animals!” says De Carlo.
In addition to Bits to Pieces’ financial contribution, the company created custom-designed awards shaped like dog-bone treats. Bits to Pieces will attend the race (to be held on August 6 in South Park), where they will provide 3D printing demonstrations and talk about the ways 3D printing can help us to care for pets and other animals.
