Lori Lorenz has been appointed vice president of marketing at American Specialty Health Inc. (ASH).

Lorenz is responsible for implementing strategic marketing initiatives to expand the ASH brand and reputation in the marketplace and broaden opportunities for ASH to bring population health, fitness and specialty provider network solutions to health plans, employer groups and other clients.

Lorenz is an accomplished marketing leader with a broad range of experience in managing and incubating innovative business solutions to drive future growth. Prior to joining ASH, she spent 28 years with Hewlett-Packard Company, starting in the marketing communications group supporting HP’s retail channel. She began working with HP’s digital photography business at its inception in 1995 and went on to provide leadership and innovation for photo printing products and experiences at home, online and in retail stores. She led the North America marketing team that launched the first HP Photosmart printers, scanners and digital camera products; drove marketing integration for the Snapfish online photo business acquisition; and built the global go-to-market team that supported the retail publishing business.

Most recently, Lorenz was director of new business solutions for HP’s print business, where she led a team of marketing and strategic partner managers that piloted new ideas using Lean Startup methodologies.

Lorenz received her bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and her master’s degree in executive leadership from the University of San Diego’s Graduate School of Business.
