Ready to unveil a new product redefining protection for connected devices, Asurion looks to VIA’s expertise to roll out a multi-channel campaign

We’re excited to help Asurion creatively showcase that they offer much more than just protection, they make technology blissful.

The VIA Agency, a full-service creative agency, today announced that it has been named Agency of Record (AOR) for Asurion, the connected life services company and preferred provider of technology protection to the world’s largest wireless carriers. VIA was awarded the business after participating in a competitive review process conducted by Pile and Company.

As partners, one of the first assignments VIA is working on is introducing Asurion’s new high-touch, proactive solution to insure connected devices. Market research shows that connected devices saw a 50 percent increase this past year, alone. As more and more people are using their devices for multiple purposes – turning up the thermostat, switching the music station, while following a new recipe – connecting and protecting multiple devices is only getting more complicated.

“We’re about to unveil a new product that will redefine what it means to offer protection for connected devices making this is a critical point for our business,” said David Mirande, Director of Marketing Communications at Asurion. “We are essentially the biggest company you’ve never heard of, due to the fact that our work is behind the scenes. Now, we want to change that and show how we can help anyone have a better experience with technology, and be the consumer’s operating system for life.”

With work scheduled to appear as early as this quarter through multiple channels, Asurion is looking to VIA to help them communicate their new product and market strategy not only to their customers, the wireless carriers, but also to the end user.

“We’re excited to help Asurion creatively showcase that they offer much more than just protection, they make technology blissful,” said Leeann Leahy, CEO of VIA. “One thing we like about Asurion as a company is that like us, they aren’t afraid to reinvent the routine and that’s why we’re beyond thrilled for this partnership.”

In addition to adding Asurion to the agency’s client roster, VIA has also won a series of new business in 2016, including Stonyfield and Shark/Ninja. Among its current list of clients are: Purdue Foods, Welch’s, Unilever and many more.
