Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) July 25, 2016 -- On September 7, 2016, mortgage lenders, secondary market experts, title companies and bank executives from all over the country will gather at the Dallas Downtown Omni Hotel for the 16th Annual Reverse Mortgage Day symposium.
Hosted by the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association, this day-long event is designed to give lending professionals and academic researchers important information regarding the policies that will affect reverse mortgage lending in the future.
Subject matter experts will discuss key matters related to financial assessment, servicing, the growing retirement crisis, and academic research on reverse mortgages will be provided by Wade Pfau of the American College.
Our Keynote speaker this year will be former Dallas Cowboy and current Fox Football analyst Daryl "Moose" Johnston.
"As more Americans are forced to deal with stock market fluctuations and expanding health care costs, reverse mortgages will continue to take on a greater significance," said Scott Norman, Chairman of Reverse Mortgage Day and National Field Sales Manager for Finance of America Reverse.
Since the first reverse mortgage was offered in Texas in 2000, the Lone Star State has become the third largest reverse mortgage lending state in the country with over $5.25 billion funded to senior homeowners.
“The overwhelming acceptance we're seeing in Texas and around the country reinforces our belief that reverse mortgages remain a safe, cost effective and vital retirement option for senior homeowners as they evaluate their financial plans," added Norman.
