Arena Americas installed the award-winning U.S. Open Championship for the second year with the United States Golf Association. Working with event organizers, Arena installed 310 tents and structures totaling over 364,000 square feet across the grounds at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, PA. Arena also installed 515,000 square feet of level flooring, stairs and ramps.

The temporary structures were used for Corporate Hospitality, Merchandise, Sponsors, Media, Concessions, Admissions and Security areas. They featured custom window and glass walls, single and double glass doors, carpet and other floor coverings, lighting and furniture. Arena also installed a custom double decker structure for a corporate hospitality space that featured special portal bracing to provide an unobstructed view of the course.

Arena spent five months on site installing and removing the “tent city” for the 116th anniversary of the golf tournament. Arena Americas won the 2016 Special Event Gala Award for Best Achievement in Event Rental Support for the U.S. Open Championship.
