Cancer diagnostics and digital pathology workflow solution provider Inspirata, Inc., announced today that it is a Diamond Sponsor and exhibitor at the Association of Pathology Chairs (APC) annual meeting in San Diego next week. During the meeting, Inspirata will be exhibiting its Digital Pathology Cockpit and Workflow Solution. The company also is hosting a two-hour pre-conference workshop and panel discussion from 10:00 a.m. to noon on July 12th immediately followed by lunch for attendees.
The workshop panel is a lineup of “who’s who” in digital pathology, with expertise spanning all aspects of digital pathology, including productivity gains, infrastructure requirements, regulatory issues, image analysis and computer vision algorithms, personalized diagnostics and big data. The workshop keynote address is being delivered by the President of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Richard C. Friedberg, MD, PhD, FCAP. Inspirata’s Dr. Mark Lloyd will then give an overview of the challenges that are creating barriers to digital pathology adoption and explain how to overcome them. Then a panel of six subject matter experts will discuss key digital pathology topics and answer questions from the audience. Panelists include Ulysses Balis, MD, University of Michigan; David Dimond, CTO, EMC Corporation; Michael Feldman, MD, PhD, University of Pennsylvania; Richard Friedberg, MD, PhD, Baystate Health; Anant Madabhushi, PhD, Case Western Reserve University; and John Tomaszewski, MD, State University of New York at Buffalo.
In the exhibit hall, which is open Tuesday through Thursday, Inspirata will conduct ongoing demonstrations of its Digital Pathology Cockpit, including new functionality spanning image analysis directed review and informed detection tools. Additionally, Inspirata will showcase its end-to-end digital pathology workflow solution and explain how its new Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) supports interoperability between the various heterogeneous systems in hospitals.
