The Executive Women’s Forum on Information Security, Risk Management & Privacy announces its 6th Annual Black Hat Meet & Greet and 2nd Annual Female Leaders Scholarship
Flemington, New Jersey (PRWEB) August 01, 2016 -- The Executive Women’s Forum (EWF) and Black Hat are pleased to announce the success and continuation of the Future Female Leaders Scholarship Program. This program will award 50 scholarships to attend Black Hat USA 2016 on July 30 – August 4, 2016 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The scholarship program supports the EWF’s mission to attract, develop and advance women in the Information Security, IT Risk Management and Privacy industries.
Complimentary Academic Passes will be awarded to female university students who demonstrate a passion for Information Security as well as a proven history of related experience and coursework. Each Academic Pass allows full access to all Briefings on Wednesday, August 3 & Thursday, August 4.
The Executive Women’s Forum is also hosting its 6th Annual Meet & Greet during Black Hat USA 2016. The EWF invites all women attending the conference to the EWF Meet & Greet on August 3, 2016 at 12:30 pm to engage and connect with the brightest minds and most dynamic personalities - the women in Information Security. On Wednesday, August 3rd at 11:30 a.m. Joyce Brocaglia will be a panelist on the discussion, “Building Diverse – World Class Teams, ” and will present labor statistics and new staffing strategies in addition to research-based practices and approaches to recognize and address unconscious biases to create a welcoming and inclusive workplace culture.
On Thursday, August 4th at 5:00 p.m. Lynn Terwoerds, Executive Director of the EWF and co-founder of the Voice Privacy Alliance, will present a talk on “Building Trust & Enabling Innovation for Voice Enabled IOT.” The Voice Privacy Alliance created a set of 39 agile security stories specifically for voice enabled IoT products as part of the Voice Privacy Innovation Toolkit. These security stories help product owners and security developers to bake security into their voice enabled products to save time, money and decrease incidents and reputation damage.
