SilverTribe.com Announces New Release of the “Gem from the Sky”
(PRWEB) July 12, 2016 -- In a recent discovery of a meteorite in Antarctica, scientists discovered a small quantity of Opal within the rock. While scientists are still researching the greater implications of Opal needing water and millions of years to form and what that means for other planets light years away, the popular jewelry store has taken the liberty of releasing a new collection of Opal jewelry for everyone that is excited about the news.
Normally, the gemstone forms when silica in water gets trapped by the cracks in rocks. Over the course of millions of years, the silica that is trapped within the rock eventually hardens. This hardened substance, within the rock, is the shimmering gem that is prized in jewelry stores today. Befitting of the find, Opal often contains shiny specs that are reminiscent of stars.
SilverTribe.com, proud supporter of natural and handcrafted jewelry, has released a new collection of this beautiful gem in honor of this discovery. The spokesman for the site, Chris Anderson, released a statement with this new collection,
“The team at SilverTribe.com has always looked to nature for inspiration, finding like-minded artists in the process. This discovery is something very near and dear to our hearts and we hope that people will find the same depth in Opal pieces that we do.”
Among their new collection of opal jewelry, they feature handcrafted rings, necklaces, watches, pendants, bracelets, many of which incorporate sterling silver, adding another natural tone to their pieces.
Anderson and the team at SilverTribe.com wanted to do something special with this new collection for the “stargazers and dreamers of the world.” Anderson suggested that this new selection is really for the people that find beauty in the natural world, just as the staff of SilverTribe.com takes inspiration from natural materials and designs in their art and jewelry.
