Guinness World Records recognizes His Holiness Dr. Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji for Creating World History at India Community Center, Milpitas, CA in the United States of America for conducting the largest Pranayama (breathing exercise) Lesson.

At the time when the white collared jobs are increasingly tension prone and creating high stress volumes in the elite class of the industry, thereby increasing the surgical intervention as well as the medication intake, His Holiness Dr. Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, pontiff of the Avadhoota Datta Peetham of Mysore, India led the largest Pranayama, Breathing Exercise lesson in a single location on 10th July, 2016 in the India Community Center, Milpitas, here in the Bay area, USA.

Sri Swamiji is world renowned for the non-intrusive and mind-friendly methods of reducing stress. Sri Swamiji has renovated the Kriya Yoga principle, which is the encapsulation of Hatha Yoga (the current day exercise based Yoga Practice) and Raja yoga (involving mind control through breath control). His Holiness has been conducting such Kriya Yoga sessions for over 4 decades in India, the USA, Europe, Australia, Middle East and Africa. The International Kriya Yoga Center established by Sri Swamiji works to propagate this wonderful concept of Kriya Yoga by conducting elementary, introductory and advanced classes all over the world. Today’s Pranayama session was officially adjudicated as the world’s largest breathing exercise lesson by the Guinness World Records.

Leading the effort, Sri Swamiji clearly explained the role of breathing in reducing stress and improving health of humans. The simple yet very powerful exercises, if performed as instructed would help the practitioner in a great way. Many of the participants from the session expressed their happiness as well as the multifold benefit from the session. During the record attempt session, Sri Swamiji explained the relation between nerves, nerve centers, breathing patterns, the importance of long breath with sustained focus and simple exercises as well as the way how systematic breathing helps curing any ailments and/or life style diseases.

Sri Swamiji has experimented with the various Mudras, Kriyas and Nadi Shuddhi exercises for several decades and his scientific approach to Pranayama (Systematic Breathing) benefited millions of people world over through many Kriya Yoga sessions.

Witnessing the post event celebrations with great interest in Milpitas, CA, the Hon’ble minister of Andhra Pradesh, India thanked Sri Swamiji for the wonderful Yoga session and shared expectations to have many such sessions with even more participants in the future in multiple places.

Based in Mysore, Sri Swamiji has established many ashrams to spread the message of harmony, peace and well-being around the world. Sri Swamiji supports several social projects to help the downtrodden including hospitals and schools in India to help the needy. People around the world have received immense benefit from physical healing to spiritual guidance from Him.

This is the fourth Guinness World Record by His Holiness Dr. Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, who has earlier created world history by leading a mass chanting event for universal peace with over 128,000 people in India, Largest Music Therapy lesson in Sydney, Australia, and a Marathon Prayer Chant for World Peace in Dallas, US.

Recognizing Sri Swamiji’s international stature, the US government has granted a special O-visa status to Him to travel and perform throughout the USA. Sri Swamiji’s work often appears in newspapers and periodicals around the globe.
