To promote its product, The Dirty Bird is offering a Facebook giveaway of its product in July. People can enter the contest by submitting a photo of their current septic vent with the "ugliest septic vent" winning a Dirty Bird, which is a bird bath septic vent concealer.

The Dirty Bird is a bird bath that fits over an existing septic vent and can be installed in about 5 minutes by homeowners.

For many homeowners, the candy cane septic vent that unnaturally juts out of their lawn represents an unavoidable eyesore, which led Massachusetts native Bill Traut to design The Dirty Bird. The only product specifically designed as a decorative septic vent concealer, The Dirty Bird is a bird bath that fits over an existing septic vent and can be installed in about 5 minutes by homeowners.

Featuring products made entirely in the USA and in operation for more than 10 years, The Dirty Bird is currently promoting its patented product, which comes with a charcoal filter, through a giveaway on Facebook.

Those wishing to win a Dirty Bird may submit a photo of their current septic vent with online voting to take place to determine the “ugliest septic vent.” The contest runs through July with the winner announced on August 1.

In commenting on the product’s usefulness, Traut said he believes The Dirty Bird addresses a very specific need.

“Homeowners are always looking to beautify their landscape, and The Dirty Bird allows them to easily cover something in their yards they probably would rather not see,” he said. “The product has been tested and conforms to all EPA regulations. The Dirty Bird is very easy for any homeowner to install and is as functional as it is aesthetically pleasing.”
