Campaigns Recognized by PCC and PRSA Chicago

L.C. Williams and Associates (LCWA) won four awards at the Publicity Club of Chicago’s Golden Trumpet Awards (PCC), and took home an additional three awards at the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Chicago Skyline Awards. The account teams were honored at two dinners in June along with industry friends and peers, as the awards are attended by the best and brightest in the Chicago public relations community.

“Both PCC and PRSA are important institutions, and we are proud to receive recognition from these prestigious groups,” said Kim Blazek Dahlborn, president and CEO of LCWA. “Our teams are invested in the success of their programs, and these awards spotlight their creativity, tenacity and dedication.”

Three of LCWA’s winning 2015 campaigns are for work in the Home Products PR category, while one Healthcare PR campaign also received honors. Winning campaigns include:

  •      “Pinning Down Traffic for Trex” won a Golden Trumpet in the Online Content – Website category and a PRSA Skyline Award in the Consumer Product category. The Trex team’s creativity helped organic traffic move from inspirational content sharing to conversion on the brand's website, increased visits and contributed to a successful year for the company.
  •      The Snow Joe Hybrid Launch campaign, won both a Golden Trumpet in the category of Online Content – Social, and a PRSA Skyline Award in the Consumer Product category. This campaign launched a new snow blower with a buzz-building array of social events, including a series of sweepstakes, a live online product debut, influencer “unboxing” videos and more.
  •      The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) “7 and Up” campaign successfully educated consumers about the importance of sleeping seven or more hours each night in order to achieve optimal health. The program included national media interviews, blogger partnerships and a hashtag campaign for #youknowyouneedsleepwhen…. This program won a Silver Trumpet in the Marketing – Health category and a PRSA Skyline Award of Excellence in the Public Service Program category.
  •      The Onelink by First Alert Launch also won a Silver Trumpet in the Marketing – Consumer category for its successful approach to introducing the new Onelink brand to tech and media influencers.
