The Education Cooperative Partners With Pearson to Provide Online and Blended Learning Opportunities for Massachusetts Students
Boston, MA (PRWEB) July 12, 2016 -- Pearson today announced that The Education Cooperative (TEC) will provide its Connections Learning personalized online courses and instructional tools to public schools across Massachusetts beginning this fall. Through this new collaboration, districts across Massachusetts will have the opportunity to affordably supplement their local program of studies with access to 600 proven, state standards-aligned online courses in subjects ranging from language arts and math to anatomy and physiology and 3D modeling, as well as courses designed for specific audiences, such as gifted and talented students.
“At TEC, we are committed to providing students with learning experiences that are designed to optimize their potential to meet their individual goals,” said Moira Rodgers, Ed.D., director of innovative learning. “Through this expanded collaboration with Pearson, we can now provide Massachusetts’ nearly 1 million public school students with access to learning opportunities that meet their unique needs on subjects that might not be offered in their schools or districts. We believe providing students with flexible, personalized learning paths will help prepare them for college and careers in our global society.”
Each online course is facilitated by a certified teacher and aligned to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, providing a rigorous and engaging personalized learning experience. Prior to this new collaboration and since 2014, TEC and Connections worked together to deliver full-time online school to students across Massachusetts.
