2016 Wonder Women Tech Conference Achieves Record Number Of Speaker Applications, Creates 2017 Speaker Waitlist
Long Beach, California (PRWEB) July 12, 2016 -- Wonder Women Tech (WWT), a non-profit organization focused on highlighting, celebrating and educating women in tech, STEAM and innovation today announced that it has created a 2017 waitlist due to an unprecedented amount of applications to speak at its (2nd annual) Wonder Women Tech Conference on July 16, 2016 & July 17, 2016 at The Long Beach Convention Center, in Long Beach, CA.
Over 1,500 speakers from 20+ countries have applied to speak at this year’s conference which will host innovative talks and panels and feature over 150 speakers on three stages, including women in computing, C-Suite women, business leaders, techies, inventors, investors, best-selling authors and award winning scientists and pioneers. Keynote speakers and special guests include President of United Nations Women National Committee Canada and CEO of Frontier Canada Inc., Almas Jiwani, Crunchbase Director of Content, Gené Teare, diversity thought leader, Everette Taylor as well as the VP of Lesbians Who Tech, Miss Korea 2010--who also owns a tech company, Teen Scientist and L’Oreal Model, the founders of Stella and Dot and FabFitFun, the founder of Persians in Tech, the founder of Tech Inclusion Conference, the co-Founder of BlogHer, and many more.

Workshops that will be available include, AOL’s #BUILTBYGIRLS, “TechBoss 101”, a Build Your Online Business workshop hosted by Automattic (Wordpress), a Resume Workshop, an AR Tookit hosted by DAQRI, an augmented reality company, among other offerings.
With the theme #WEAREPIONEERS, Wonder Women Tech will explore women and diversity in tech, and the pioneers leading the way for innovation. Attendees will engage in conference programming including a Free Career Fair & Expo, a Computer Basics workshop for Seniors, a Junior Innovation Camp, where underrepresented children and adults will learn how to code, build games and much more.

Outside of the speaker lineup, there will be a networking lounge sponsored by Molina Healthcare, a 'Meet and Greet the Speaker' cabana lounge where speakers can engage the attendees, an #InvestinABoss Pitch Competition sponsored by Branch Metrics, a free career fair and expo that will be offered to the general public who register in advance.
